The Egyptian Commercial Office in Tokyo: Negotiations to lift the ban on Egyptian citrus fruits

Hossam Negm, head of the Trade Representation Office in Tokyo, said that the efforts of the office in coordination with the quarantine bodies in Egypt and Japan and the Egyptian Export Crops Council, succeeded in reaching an agreement to meet a committee of experts in the two countries to complete the negotiations to lift the ban. Exports of Egyptian citrus fruits and other agricultural products such as pomegranates and grapes to the Japanese market, in light of the sanitary and phytosanitary requirements of Japan.
