Britons rush to buy houses in Italy

Dozens of Britons scrambled to buy houses in Italy.

According to the Sun newspaper, the reason for the British rush was Italys decision to sell those houses for only one euro.

Italian authorities require new owners to renovate houses within 365 days of the date of purchase and agree to spend at least € 20,000 to complete the repair.

The newspaper wondered whether they would live the dream of real alienation in a sunny country, unlike the fog country, or whether the renovation projects will turn into nightmares.
