Report: Egypt is among the preferred countries for bond buyers during 2017

Bloomberg said that international bond investors turned this year into high-yielding bonds, which are receiving support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), including Egypt.
According to the Bank of America report Merrill Lynch, the pledges of discipline and transparency associated with IMF assistance have helped some countries become the best performing outside the United States this year.
The list of best-performing countries in 2017 topped Egypt, Iraq, Mongolia, Cameroon and Zambia, according to the report.
The agency said in its report that Allianz Global Investors for Banking Services and Asset Management put Egyptian bonds among the strongest bonds it holds, after Egypt followed the reform measures prescribed by the IMF.
"The 5-year yield on Egypts 5-year bonds fell 4.897%, falling below the 5% level for the first time since January 2017," Bloomberg said, based on BNP Paribass report.
