The Egyptian government is forced to cut drinking water to absorb heavy rains

The Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities announced that drinking water and sanitation companies are forced to cut drinking water in some areas to reduce pressures and try to absorb the sewage networks for the amount of rain they reach.

Minister Assem Al-Jazzar said, in a statement issued today, Thursday, that the amount of rain that fell today is still unprecedented, noting that the drainage networks cannot absorb these quantities.
